Look at the benefits this contest is generating for the General Marketing Blog. The competition is building traffic, selling banner ads, generating one-way links, building their RSS subscriber list, and getting site visitors to participate by posting comments! Wow, who can ask for more? David Hobson has followed the lead of other top Blogs and is taking advantage of an excellent marketing tactic. Not too many marketing campaigns will do this much for such a low price as a nice contest.
